Xactimate System Requirements

System requirements

Xactimate runs on three platforms: desktop, online, and mobile.

Desktop

Verisk invests heavily in emulating and testing hundreds of combinations of hardware and software scenarios. We focus on the scenarios predominant in the market that will return the best results for our customers. Xactimate system requirements often correspond to the same trends established by Microsoft. We recommend a Microsoft "System Rating" of 4.0 for the best possible performance results.

Xactimate and other Verisk estimating products are not supported on Mac OS. The products work with the Windows operating systems, listed below. We do support machines using a dual boot configuration as long as only one operating system is running at a given time, and as long as that operating system is supported.

Windows 8.1, 64-bit (Important: Support for Windows 8.1. will be discontinued on January 1, 2023.)

Technical Specifications:

Xactimate desktop can be used on any desktop, laptop, tablet PC, convertible, or netbook that supports these system requirements.

Important note: If your system is an enterprise solution as administered by a dedicated IT team, contact your account manager before proceeding with setup.

Using DISTO Devices with Xactimate desktop

Bluetooth 4.0 is required for Microsoft Windows machines as well as the DISTO device. These compatible DISTO devices require a computer with Bluetooth 4.0:

Xactimate mobile for Android has been tested on a number of devices. For best performance, we recommend the following Android devices:

Why only these Android devices?

At Verisk, we want to be sure that users of our mobile apps have the best possible experience, and we know this is accomplished when both the hardware environment and software perform optimally together.

With thousands of Android devices currently on the market, it is impossible to test our Android app on every device. Many of these devices perform well, however some are not suited for a complex, large-scale business application.

We are confident that those using devices on the supported list will have the best possible experience with their app.
