The Hanover Insurance Group Selects ISO's LOCATION and LOCATION Analyst

JERSEY CITY, N.J., November 14, 2011 — ISO announced today that The Hanover Insurance Group has licensed LOCATION® services and LOCATION Analyst for use in all states. ISO is a member of the Verisk Insurance Solutions group at Verisk Analytics.

LOCATION is the most widely used geographic information product in the industry for the assignment of key underwriting and rating variables, including public fire protection, building code enforcement, rating territories, and more. Insurers who write more than 85 percent of U.S. property coverage now use LOCATION. It provides insurers with accurate geographic information to make timely, confident underwriting decisions. LOCATION uses current address, parcel, and street information; and ISO makes more than 55,000 geographic updates annually, including changes related to fire protection area boundaries, fire station locations, hydrant locations, territories, windpools, and other geographic risk information.

The LOCATION Public Protection Classification (PPCTM) Service measures the effectiveness of local fire protection in more than 47,000 fire protection areas around the country. The service provides information on the nearest recognized fire station that will respond to a given address. The Hanover has also licensed LOCATION Future Effective PPC Service, which will provide notice of upcoming PPC changes to aid in data accuracy for renewal policy processing.
