Company Will Use Unique Speed-Interviewing Method to Hire Qualified Talent at All Levels of the Organization
Company Offers Excellent Benefits and Career-Growth Opportunities
SALT LAKE CITY, April 25, 2012 – MediConnect Global, one of the first and largest health information exchanges (HIE) in the country, today announced that the company is expanding its workforce and will immediately be hiring employees in order to accommodate growth.
For this new wave of hiring, MediConnect is looking for capable employees to join its growing team at all levels of the organization, but focus will be placed on addressing their most immediate personnel needs in the retrieval operations center.
“As we continue to demonstrate our leadership in the healthcare sector by anticipating trends and offering our clients the products and services that best fill their needs, we are committed to seeking out the best individuals to add to our already stellar team,” said Amy Rees Anderson, CEO of MediConnect Global. “Healthcare reform has driven remarkable demand for innovative products and services that streamline communication between patients, doctors, insurers and others. We are thrilled to be in a position to lead this effort. I am constantly pleased with the rate at which we continue to grow our company.”
Because of its continued growth, MediConnect has adopted a variety of innovative hiring practices – including a speed-interviewing method – to find committed, qualified and enthusiastic recruits. Much like speed-dating, MediConnect’s unique speed-interviewing approach screens candidates through personality questionnaires and skills tests to determine a potential fit with current hiring needs before the candidate is invited to stand before a panel of MediConnect management to present a 60-second pitch. Following their presentation, select candidates will be asked to stay for an additional 5-minute interview. This novel tactic allows the company to interview large numbers of candidates in a short timeframe. Once candidates make the final round there is a thorough final evaluation of each recruit before completing the hiring process.
“We have had some tremendous success with our out-of-the-box hiring practices and we will continue exploring creative methods like these to ensure we locate and attract the very best talent,” added Anderson. “Our employees are on the front lines with our customers, and our commitment to recruiting individuals who personify integrity, a strong work ethic, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service is the cause of MediConnect’s growth.”
The company has also adopted several in-house practices to foster positive morale among employees, including excellent benefits for medical, dental, and life insurance; 401k matching; a daily blog from CEO Amy Anderson to provide direction and motivation to every employee; a companywide wellness program with a dedicated manager to help employees reach individual wellness goals; a zero-tolerance smoking policy; and several family-friendly parties and events hosted by the company throughout the year.
