JERSEY CITY, N.J., Sept. 5, 2003 — Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO) announces it will provide workers' compensation injury-reporting services in all 50 states.
Using Bridium Inc.'s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology, ISO will submit First Report of Injury (FROI), Subsequent Report of Injury (SROI) and Medical Payment (MED) reports from workers' compensation insurer-customers to state industrial accident boards that accept electronic filings. For jurisdictions that do not accept reports in electronic format, ISO will convert customers' FROI, SROI and MED reports to paper.
ISO also will manage preproduction testing of injury reports for its customers, perform data analysis and maintain customer profiles. ISO will provide system setup, training and technical support for customers while maintaining their technology infrastructures.
"By automating the injury-reporting process, customers will eliminate redundancies in costs and streamline their workflows underlying this critical line of insurance," said Carole J. Banfield, ISO's executive vice president. "Bridium's technology will complement ISO's proven expertise in data management," she added.
"We're pleased to ally with ISO because of their leadership reputation in insurance data management. Our technology infrastructure complements ISO's expertise to reduce the burden workers' compensation carriers face in workers' compensation administration in all 50 states," said Steve Isaac, chief executive officer of Bridium.
