- using ISO Claims Outcome AdvisorTM for best long-term advantage
- Institute of IT Training accredited to develop best practice and offer highest standard of IT training activities
LONDON, Jan. 15, 2002 — Insurance Services Office (ISO), a leading provider of insurance claims services and information about property and liability risk, has appointed Justin Goodwin as Business Consultant and Phil Tench as Business Analyst. The new appointments strengthen ISO's existing post-sales support and accredited training capabilities for Claims Outcome AdvisorTM (COA), the industry's first multi-dimensional personal injury claims management solution to enable the complete management of personal injury claims portfolios. Justin Goodwin and Phil Tench are both accredited under the Institute of IT Training's Trainer Activity Profile (TAP), which will enable them to provide the highest standard of IT training and support for ISO customers as COA is rolled out across the UK.
In their new roles Justin Goodwin and Phil Tench will aim to intimately understand COA customers and their businesses to ensure that they are using the solution for the best advantages in the long term. Acting as primary contacts, they will provide insurers with the full range of post-sales support, training and mentoring to advise and guide on how COA can help each company to effectively manage the multiple dimensions of their personal injury claims portfolio. Phil Tench will also work closely with customers' management and actuaries to ensure ongoing optimisation of their COA implementation. Their accreditation by the Institute of IT Training enables them to provide ISO customers with the latest training methodology and leading-edge, best-practice training programmes.
"Many companies think that just putting a product out there on the market is good business practice, but ISO understand the need to follow up sales of COA with quality training and support, helping customers to make the most of their investment," said David Smart, Business Development, ISO. "These two new appointments are a clear demonstration of ISO's real commitment to making Claims Outcome Advisor the claims handlers' choice for personal injury claims management, enabling us to deliver value added services and ongoing consultancy and support right through to aftersales, in line with demand from COA's growing user base.
" Both Justin Goodwin and Phil Tench will be key players in the delivery of training and support. The fact that both have been accredited under the Institute of IT Training's Trainer Activity Profile is a significant achievement — one that recognises exemplary performance in meeting standards set in IT training activities. With their extensive knowledge of Claims Outcome Advisor, combined with this accreditation, Justin Goodwin and Phil Tench are ideally placed to help our customers achieve long-term self-sufficiency in terms of maintenance and successful resolution of technical issues," David Smart concluded.
Justin Goodwin previously spent four years as Business Consultant at Mynd Corp., formerly Policy Management Systems Corp. Before that he spent ten years at Norwich Union, the UK's largest insurer, joining Mynd Corp. from a key position within its claims department. Justin Goodwin is also ACII qualified. Phil Tench was also previously at Mynd Corp., where he was an Object Oriented Programmer. Phil Tench gained a BSc degree in Maths and Psychology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
