NEW YORK, June 29, 1998 — Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO) has promoted Virginia A. Lee to vice president — insurance systems development. As head of this new department, Lee will be responsible for actuarial, statistical and text systems.
Most recently, Lee was assistant vice president — actuarial & statistical systems.
Lee joined ISO as assistant manager — development in 1980, and since then, served in increasingly responsible positions, including service in Data Base Services and Commercial Lines Systems. She was named manager — development in 1984 and assistant vice president — data base services in 1986.
Lee's background also includes programming and systems-development responsibilities at the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. (now Bell Atlantic Corp.), U.S. Trust Co., Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. (now The Chase Manhattan Bank) and MONY Financial Services.
Lee holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from St. Peter's College, Jersey City, N.J. She chairs the Insurance Data Management Association's Technology Committee and is a member of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association.
ISO provides information about property/casualty insurance, including statistical and claims information, actuarial analyses and consulting, policy language and related information and technical services.
