NEW YORK. Jan. 14, 1997 — Sarah Ferguson, formerly vice president — investor services at Standard & Poor's Corp. has been named senior vice president— sales and service by Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO).
Ferguson will be responsible for ISO's sales and customer service activities.
"Sarah Ferguson's experience at Standard & Poor's makes her ideally suited for this job," said Fred R. Marcon, ISO's chairman, president and chief executive officer. At S&P she headed global sales, customer service, electronic-product development and operations for rating services. At ISO she will spearhead ISO's initiatives as a for-profit company to increase sales of current and new services to develop new markets and to further improve customer service.
Ferguson joined Standard & Poor's in 1990 as a manger — global sales, and advanced to vice president — global sales in 1995 and then vice president— rating information services, when she added electronic product development to her responsibilities. Earlier, Ferguson served for three years as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.
A resident of New York City, Ferguson has an M. B. A. degree in finance from Fordham University and a bachelor's degree in history and business from Portland State University.
