Property/casualty claims veteran to drive QPC's marketing and strategic partnership initiatives
SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, 2006 — Quality Planning Corporation (QPC), the Rating Integrity Solutions Company, announced the appointment of Beth Olson as assistant vice president of global services and strategic partnerships. Olson will be based in QPC's San Francisco head office and will report to Mike Hallenberger, vice president of sales and marketing.
Olson brings more than 22 years of insurance-related experience to QPC. She was recently director of corporate accounts at ClaimIQ, a division of Mitchell International and a leader of third-party claim decision support software. Before joining ClaimIQ, Olson held various senior management and marketing positions with the Harmon Solutions Group (outsourced claim administration), Cybersettle (a web-based settlement tool for attorneys and adjusters), and JAMS (traditional dispute resolution services). She also handled complex litigation claims in both personal and commercial lines at Aetna Casualty & Surety.
Beth has a B.A. in Business and Spanish from North Carolina State University, and completed her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in March of 2004.
"As a company focused on delivering high-impact solutions to our customers, it's essential that QPC work hand-in-hand with them and identify and forge new relationships with strategic partners," said Mike Hallenberger, vice president of sales and marketing at QPC. "Beth is the ideal person for this critical role, bringing a combination of deep technical understanding of P/C underwriting and a knack for architecting successful alliances."
"QPC's data mining techniques can add tremendous value to the bottom line of auto insurers," said Beth Olson, assistant vice president, strategic accounts. "I look forward to introducing forward-thinking auto insurers to the range of services QPC can offer them and to identifying enhancements to our current product line."
Rating integrity and competitive advantage
QPC assists auto insurers in their efforts to minimize rating error. QPC takes an auto insurance company's book of policyholders and processes it through a battery of more than 150 proprietary tests, cross-reference checking and pattern-matching algorithms to identify errors and discrepancies that might suggest fraud and misrepresentation on the part of consumers. QPC also provides insurers with additional services such as policyholder phone interviews to discover missing drivers, verify garaging addresses, and determine annual mileage and other key rating information. Over time, insurance companies with accurate rating information are better able to compete and are more financially stable.
