Samantha Vaughan is Verisk’s chief privacy officer. She leads the development and implementation of policies that protect the data entrusted to Verisk and helps ensure the integrity of the company’s data practices, regulation, and compliance.
Samantha came to Verisk from Dell Technologies, where she was managing director and global head of privacy legal. Before Dell, she was the senior vice president of corporate ethics & compliance and chief privacy officer for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. She worked in the financial services industry for Prudential Financial, AIG, and Selective for over 14 years before joining Wyndham in 2012.
Samantha co-chairs the Compliance and Privacy Working Group of the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA). She received the BELA Beacon award in 2020 in recognition of her work and thought leadership, from a field of nearly 400 BELA members.
Samantha holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA in political science from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She also holds the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) designation and six privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, as well as the ECPC-B European Data Protection Officer certification from Maastricht University. She’s earned professional certifications in AI from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the MIT Sloan School of Management & MIT Schwarzman College of Computing.
She co-chairs the Advisory Board on Compliance Programs for the Fordham University School of Law and has been a pro bono attorney through the BlinkNow Foundation since 2014.
