Kathleen A. Hogenson is an accomplished multi-cultural leader with more than 30 years of energy experience. She has been one of Verisk’s directors since 2016 and is chair of the Audit Committee.
Ms. Hogenson has been president and CEO of Zone Oil & Gas, LLC since 2007, and served as president and chief executive officer of Zone Energy, LLC, a company she founded in 2009 and sold in 2015.
Previously, Ms. Hogenson was president of Santos USA Corporation and vice president of exploration and production technology for Unocal Corporation. At Unocal, she was the company’s global chief reservoir engineer, overseeing engineers and engineering work products at locations around the world.
She holds a BS in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University, whose College of Engineering gave her the 2010 Distinguished Alumna Award.
Ms. Hogenson is currently on the Board of Directors of First Quantum Minerals Ltd., a global top 10 copper mining company, and Cimarex Energy Co. She has been on the Board of Directors of Petrofac Limited and Parallel Petroleum LLC and the advisory Board of Samsung Oil & Gas USA Corporation.
Ms. Hogenson co-founded a new regional office in South America for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and served as Treasury Committee chair. She’s a trustee of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists foundation and a founding advisory board member of The Women’s Global Leadership Conference, where she’s served for more than 10 years.
