Electronic payment functionality to be added to the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal – CMS to hold webinar on March 13, 2019

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that effective April 1, 2019, electronic payment functionality will be added to the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal (MSPRP). The MSPRP relates to non-group health (NGHP) claims which include workers’ compensation, liability and no-fault.[1]

CMS is holding a webinar for the MSPRP users to discuss its new electronic payment functionality on March 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. (EST). CMS’s notice and instructions on how to register for this webinar can be found here.

Following the webinar, we will provide a summary on the key items discussed by CMS and the impact these updates will have on the repayment process.
