The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has just released their latest version of the WCMSA Reference Guide (Version 3.4, October 4, 2021). This new guide replaces WCMSA Reference guide version 3.3 (April 19, 2021).
CMS lists the changes made in the new WCMSA Reference Guide in Section 1.1. As noted in Section 1.1, CMS updated the Medicare.gov and MyMedicare.gov website cites in the reference guide. In addition, CMS added language indicating that the executed workers’ settlement must include the WCMSA funding information to finalize the WCMSA approval process. (Section 10.5 and Appendix 5).
